Vintage Simon Still Funny

Always wanted to play "Felix Ungar." (Left) He's one of the only classic characters I'll ever get to do. It's great how really good material still holds up after so many years. The newspaper doesn't do reviews of shows at this theater, so you'll just have to take my word for it that the show went well. When you only have seven performances, you barely start to get into the rhythm of things and it's over. This was the sixth Neil Simon play I've done. Started with playing "Norman" in The Star Spangled Girl and "Vernon" in They're Playing Our Song way back in the dinner theater days. Then "Jesus" in the female version of The Odd Couple at the first Cabaret Theatre. Then "Lenny" in Rumors, "Marvin" in California Suite and then again, "Vernon" in They're Playing Our Song (Right) all at the BRLT. Would love to do another one sometime. We also did The Dinner Party for our Readers Theatre series in January. I guess that counts. I read "Albert."
